Ludo Porrez, Executive Producer of the 2005 Junior Eurovision Song Contest, said that the Portuguese broadcaster RTP plans to broadcast the show. Portugal will not participate this year, but airing the show creates an opportunity to join the show in 2006.

RTP plans to broadcast the show through RTP and RTP International. As there was not enough time to prepare, RTP decided to participate next year.

In an interview with our colleagues from eurosong.be, Porrez also announced there will be a programme book, which will be sold in Dutch, English and French. He also stated that decisions about the hosts and the interval act will be taken within 4 to 6 weeks.

The final list of participants of the 2005 edition will be released on Monday. As soon as there is information about the participants list, we will update you! The 2005 Junior Eurovision Song Contest takes place on 22nd November in Hasselt, Belgium.
