Katrina Leskanich on stage in five Flemish cities

From 6th till 10th August, Katrina Leskanich will be on stage of the Q-Music Greatest Hits Tour which will be crossing Flanders with stops in five cities. Other top acts to perform are Tony Hadley, J.T. Taylor and Idols 2004 runner-up Wouter. In October, Katrina's album Katrina Leskanich will be released in the United Kingdom.

Katrina Leskanich is an often invited artist in Flanders. Earlier this year she twice performed with the Heverband and made an appearance in Star Academy. Tonight she will be performing Walking on sunshine at the recordings of the television show Tien om te Zien and as of Saturday, Katrina will be touring around in the framework of the Q-Music Greatest Hits Tour

Together with a live band Katrina Leskanich, Tony Hadley (from Spandau Ballet) and J.T. Taylor (from Kool and The Gang) will be performing their greatest hits in the following cities…

� 6th August: Gent (Vrijdagsmarkt)
� 7th August: Mechelen (Grote markt)
� 8th August: Brugge (�t Zand)
� 9th August: Oostende (Wapenplein)
� 10th August: Sint-Truiden (Grote markt)

The artists will be performing from 21:00 until 24:00 CET. Katrina's greatest hit Walking on sunshine is currently hitting the Flemish single charts in a Flemish version. D2, the twin sisters Dana and Daisy who participated in Eurosong for Kids 2003, recorded their own version of the song, entitled Eindelijk weekend.

Album release in October
In October Katrina plans to commercially release her album, to be entitled Katrina Leskanich. The album will be distibuted by Universal. A licensing deal for the rest of world will follow after the initial UK release.

The songs have been written and produced by Katrina Leskanich, Phil Thornalley and Darren Loveday. Some songs from the album could already be heard on www.katrinasweb.net as they already featured on the album Turn the tide, which has been available for purchase through Katrina's website since last year.

As reported by esctoday.com last week, Katrina Leskanich will not be participating in the celebrations of the 50th anniversary of the Eurovision Song Contest on 22nd October in Copenhagen.
