In Greece, Helena Paparizou has been awarded a platinum record for her album Proteraiotita – Euro edition and a gold record for the winning Eurovision Song Contest entry My number one.
The platinum and gold record have been awarded at a party last Thursday. Friends, associates, artists, singers, composers and Greek broadcaster ERT's International Relations Department attended the celebrations. Foteini Giannoulatou, Directer of ERT, received a copy of the platinum record and many congratulations for the excellent promotion of My number one in preparation for the 2005 Eurovision Song Contest.
ERT also made out a positive financial balance. ERT's revenues from the exploitation (advertisement and sponsorships) of its Eurovision Song Contest related television programs have already reached � 1.330.000. The total expenses of the production (EBU rights, production of shows, promotion of the Greek song abroad,…) have not exceeded � 900.000.
Greek broadcaster ERT is host broadcaster of the 2006 Eurovision Song Contest.
