Romania selects junior representative in August

Romanian broadcaster TVR will be holding a national final on 13th or 20th August in order to select a representative for the 2005 Junior Eurovision Song Contest. To introduce the contest's third edition, special shows will be broadcast on 12th and 19th November.

Romanian children can submit their songs for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest selections until 15th July. A first selection will be held until 20th July. On 25th July, a professional jury will select the ten songs taking part in the national final. TVR is planning a 90-minutes lasting show to be broadcast on 13th or 20th August.

In order to increase the popularity of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest, TVR will be broadcasting two special shows the weeks before the 2005 Junior Eurovision Song Contest. On 12th and 19th November, the Romanian television viewers will be informed about the Junior Eurovision Song Contest and the songs from all over Europe taking part in the third edition of the contest.

Romania will be making its third appearance in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest. Last year Noni Razvan Ene finished fourth. In 2003, Bubu finished tenth.
