Saturday evening will bring the last qualifying round in Sweden, where eight hopefuls will be in the run for the two qualifying places.
After the last show up in the north, the stage goes to the city of Eurovision Song Contest 2013, Malmö. This round will take place in Malmö Arena which will be the home for the pan-European festival as well.
As it was revealed earlier, Alcazar will be the interval act during the show, and host Danny Saucedo will be joining the group.
This round will feature many big names, such like Army of Lovers, a band that has a couple of hits in Europe during the 1990’s. One member of the group, Alexander Bard is not new to the Melodifestivalen’s stage – this will be his fifth appearance on the Swedish selection after 2005, 2006, 2008 and 2009. Sylvia Vrethammar will come back after her last Melodifestivalen perfomance in 2002. And, last, but not least, Ulrik Munther will be in the run as well after becoming third last year.
Overall eight songs will be competing for the two spots for the final which will take place in Stockholm on 9 March. The third and fourth placed songs will another chance in the Andra Chansen (Second Chance) round, which will be on 2 March in Karlstad. The show will be broadcast on SVT1, SVT World, and online as well from 20:00 CET.
