Esctoday.com has learned that the 2006 Eurovision Finnish winning rock band Lordi will be performing at the 2013 Irish Eurovision national final, Eurosong 2013 on Friday 22 February.

The 2013 Irish Eurovision final will be held on 22 February and will be aired live during the Late Late Show on RTE 1 at 22:35 CET and will be hosted by Ryan Tubridy. A total of  5 acts will compete for the golden ticket to Malmo; Zoë Alexis Bohorquez, Ryan Dolan, Aimee Fitzpatrick, Inchequin and Kasey.

The 2013 Irish entry will be selected via a 50/50 jury- televoting deliberation.

Ireland holds the record of winning Eurovision 7 times (1970,1980, 1987,1992,1993,1994 and 1996), they also hold the record of winning and hosting the contest 3 years in a row!
