Margaret Berger won the Norwegian national final for the Eurovision Song Contest and therefor she will represent her country in Malmö with the song I feed you my love which became one of the fan favorites to win the grand prix. The winning single of the 2013 Melodi Grand Prix is set to conquer the national chart as it’s currently topping the Norwegian iTunes Download Chart.
Three of the songs which competed in the gold final of this year’s Melodi Grand Prix have entered the top 5 of the Norwegian iTunes Download Chart. The winning single I feed you my love by Margaret Berger is number one, the runner-up Bombo by Adelén is number two while the third placing song I love you te quiero by Sirkus Eliassen is number four on the chart.
The Norwegian Eurovision entries are usually doing well on the national chart. All the songs which represented the Scandinavian country in the Eurovision Song Contest in the last five years have placed in the top 3 of the VG-lista, the most successful being Fairytale by Alexander Rybak, Hold on be strong by Maria Haukaas Storeng and Haba haba by Stella Mwangi.
Margaret Berger will perform in the second half of the second semi-final of the 2013 Eurovision Song Contest.
