The first semi-final in Latvia just ended and the first six acts qualified to the final scheduled for 16 February. Twelve acts competed in tonight’s show and six of them got through after a public and a jury vote. The show that took place at Palladium Concert Hall in Riga was hosted by Valmiera, Martin Meyer, Madara Botmane and Anta Aizupe.

Latvia debuted in the 2000 Eurovision Song Contest and this year the country will participate in the second semi-final on 16 May in Malmö.
