The second heat of the Swedish Eurovision national selection Melodifestivalen 2013 is about to kick off. The artists had their first rehearsal in Gothenburg, and the Swedish broadcaster (SVT) has made one minute long snippets public on their site, which you can find here.

Eight acts will fight for the two final spots, to join David Lindgren and YOHIO. Just like last week, the third and fourth placed songs will get another chance in the Second Chance round, which will be held after the four heats.

The second heat  will take place in the Scandinavium, Gothemburg, on 9 February at 20:00 CET and will be aired live on SVT1, SVT World, SVT HD. The show will also be streamed live on SVT’s official website.

The 8 acts to compete in the 2nd heat are:

  • Anton Ewald – Begging
  • Felicia Olsson – Make me no 1
  • Joacim Cans – Annelie
  • Swedish House Wives – On top of the world
  • Erik Segerstedt & Tone Damli – Hello goodbye
  • Louise Hoffsten – Only the dead fish follow the stream
  • Rikard Wolff – En förlorad sommar
  • Sean Banan – Copacabanana
