The four songs which will be competing in the Greek national final for the 2013 Eurovision Song Contest will be presented in a press conference on Wednesday 6 February at 12.30 CET in Athens.

In a special press conference organised by MAD TV and ERT the four songs of the Greek preselection will be presented to the press. There will be no live TV coverage of the event but the videos will be aired on ERT and MAD TV afterwards.

MAD Eurovision weekend for Greek fans

On Saturday 9 February at 18.00 local time a Eurovision special will be aired on MAD TV. The show will include a short history of the Eurovision Song Contest and the cult euro-pop moments of the Greek entries over the years. This will be followed by a presentation of Euro Heroes, the 30 most influential eurosong videos. The show will be repeated on Sunday 10 February local time.

The hosts debate

Now that the speculation over the candidates’ names is over, the game has moved to the national final hosts’ identity. The rumour that Yiorgos Kapoutzidis, actor, screenwriter, commentator Eurovision 2006) will be hosting the national final on the 18th together with local mega star Despoina Vandi has been making headlines in Greece for days. queen.gr states today that Despoina Vandi was indeed approached by Kapoutzidis and Fokas Evangelinos but has not answered yet either way.
