Swedish Melodifestivalen star and former Eurovision Song Contest participant Nanne Grönvall is celebrating 20 years of career. In order to honour that, a compilation album featuring 19 of her most memorable songs has been released. The album also includes two brand new songs and this year's Melodifestivalen entry Håll om mig.
The compilation album entitled 20 år med Nanne features songs she released as a solo artist as well as songs from the groups she has been part of: Sound Of Music, Peters Pop Squad and One More Time. Memorable songs from Nanne's early days that haven't been released on CD before such as Eldorado, Alexandra and Highland can now be heard again.
The album of course includes Nanne's Eurovision compositions: the 1996 Eurovision Song Contest entry Den vilda which she performed with the group One More Time, her latest entries from the Swedish national selections Avundsjuk, Evig kärlek and this year's Håll om mig and her entry to the 2001 Eurovision Song Contest selection in the United Kingdom, Men.
Nanne has participated as an artist in Melodifestivalen six times and has also written the lyrics to many other entries throughout the years. In this year's Melodifestivalen she finished second with Håll om mig, although the televoting pointed her out as the winner. The success continues as Nanne is currently holding the first place in the Swedish Svensktoppen and the second place in the Swedish singles charts Hitlistan.
