Esctoday.com has learned that Serbia will reveal the number of submissions received from artists and composers for Beosong on Wednesday 23 January. The names of the  acts and composers who have applied to participate at the Serbian national selection  will also be revealed.

The deadline for artists and composers to submit their applications for Beosong 2013, the Serbian national selection ends on Monday 21 January in the afternoon. Then a special committee will evaluate all received entries and make their deliberation, and select 15 entries. The names of the lucky 15 acts will most likely be announced in February.

A total of 15 acts will compete at the Beosong semi-final on 2 March. The responsibility of selecting the finalists will lie in the hands of the public, who will play a key role in the semi-final. The Serbian public will vote for their favourite act via SMS voting. The the top 5 acts will earn the right to compete at the Beosong final on 3 March, where they will battle each another in their quest to represent Serbia at the 2013 Eurovision Song Contest.
