Serebro, the 2007 Russian Eurovision representatives, have been nominated for the forthcoming OE 2012 Video Music Awards, scheduled to be held in Kiev, Ukraine on 27 April. Many former Eurovision representatives have also been nominated in the various categories: Dima Bilan (Russia 2006,2008), Svetlana Loboda ( Ukraine 2009), Yulia Volkova (Russia 2003) and Yana Kay (Latvia 2003).
The Russian trio’s Mama Lyuba is have been nominated in a total of 7 categories: Best Video of the Year, Sexy Video of the Year, Best Song of the Year, Best Group of the Year, Best song in a Foreign Language, Most Elegant Artist of the Year, Best Female Performance of the Year.
Dima Bilan (Russia 2006, 2008) is nominated for the Most Elegant Artists of the Year, Best Male Performance of the Year and share 2 nominations with Yulia Volkova ( Russia 2003) for Best Project of the Year, Sexy Video of the Year. Svetlana Loboda (Ukraine 2009) is nominated for Best Female Performance of the Year, Sexy Video of the Year.
Serebro represented Russia at the 2007 Eurovision Song Contest in Helsinki with Song Nr. 1 and achieved an honourable 3rd place. They are among the most sought after groups both in Russia and overseas, enjoying fame, name and recognition.
