Marilena Gauci replaces Saska Hunt who withdrew from the 2013 Malta Eurovision Song Contest. Marilena joined the line-up for 1st February where 24 acts will compete for 16 spots in the final of 2nd February.

In the semi-final, Marilena will compete with the song Overrated penned by the Maltese famous duo Philip Vella and Gerard James Borg. The preview clip for Marilena’s entry is expected to be recorded and uploaded soon. Marilena is not new to the Maltese selection and debuted in 2011 with the song He’s a demon.

The winner to Malmö will be decided through a jury and a public vote. Meanwhile tickets for the semi-final and final are out. Next year’s national selection will once again take place in the Malta Fairs & Convention Centre.
