The Slovakian  public broadcaster RTVS (Radio and Television Slovakia) has informed and confirmed to Esctoday.com that Slovakia and RTVS  will not participate at the forthcoming 2013 Eurovision Song Contest in Malmö, next May.

Slovakia debuted at the Eurovision Song Contest in 1994 with Martin Durinda and Tublatanka, and is yet to win the Eurovision Song Contest. Slovakia has never qualified for the Eurovision Song Contest final since the semifinals have been introduced. Slovakia has participated 7 times at the Eurovision Song Contest: 1994, 1996, 1998, 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2012.
