The first national selection shows for 2013 are starting this week. According to website eurodiena.lt the first show in the Lithuanian national finals was recorded today by LRT. In the first show 17 acts will perform songs of their own choice, and not original songs. The first show will air on Lithuanian TV this Saturday at 20.00 CET (21.00 local time).

Like we have told before, there will be a whole series of Eurovision selection shows this year in Lithuania, leading to a final that will eventually choose the entry going to Malmö. The shows will be hosted by Andrius Rožickas. Also the Lithuanian performer from Baku, Donny Montell will perform his song Love is blind on Saturday’s show. Some of the 17 acts in the first show are familiar from previous years’ Lithuanian selection shows, and six acts have also taken part in the Lithuanian version of The Voice. The acts in the first show are:

• Multiks

There will be no jury or audience voting in the first show, but the performances will be ranked on the lrt.lt website and win sponsor prizes.
