2013 Eurovision executive producer Martin Österdahl stated that only one host will present the show to take place in Malmö. In an interview with Swedish newspaper, Dagens Nyheter, SVT’s executive producer said that the Swedish public broadcaster is looking for one host, just as they do in the Oscars.

The last time the Eurovision Song Contest had one presenter was in 1995 in Dublin. Mary Kennedy hosted the show won by Secret Garden for Norway.  SVT is aiming to take the Eurovision Song Contest into a new era, explained Österdahl.

A common feature on the Eurovision stage was the use of LED screens. Österdahl confirmed that the team behind the next extravagant show are preparing new things to mark a different song contest. The next Eurovision Song Contest will take place in Malmö on 14th, 16th and 18th May.
