SVT, the Swedish national broadcaster has announced the dates and the venues of the 2013 Melodifestival final, semifinals and Second Chance.

The Swedish broadcaster will also be responsible to host the 2013 Eurovision Song Contest in Malmo next May. The 2013 Melodifestivalen final will be held at the newly built Friends Arena in Stockholm, whilst the semifinals will be held in Karlskrona, Gothenburg, Malmo, Skelleftea and the Second Chance will be held in Karlstad. Hence Sweden will choose both its 2013 Eurovision entry and representative on March 9th, 2013.

The 2013 Melodifestivalen Schedule:

2nd  February-  Melodifestivalen Semifinal 1- Karlskrona- Telenor Arena
9th February –  Melodifestivalen  Semifinal 2- Goteborg – Scandinavium
16th February  Melodifestivalen-Semifinal 3- Skellefteå Skellefteå Kraft Arena
23rd February-  Melodifestivalen Semifinal 4- Malmö Malmö Arena
2nd March Second Chance- Melodifestivalen Karlstad-Löfbergs Lila Arena
9th March – MelodifestivalenFinal- Stockholm -Friends Arena
