This year’s Eurovision winner Loreen arrived in Malta early this afternoon. Tomorrow the Swedish star will give a concert on the island as some fans and local press were waiting in the arrivals lounge at Luqa international airport. It was esctoday.com that last month exclusively revealed Loreen’s appearance in Malta.

Upon her arrival she gave a brief press conference in which she welcomed everybody for the concert to be held at the Malta Fairs and Convention Centre, Ta’ Qali. Asked by esctoday.com about her new upcoming album, Loreen replied that her new material is expected to be simple and dynamic. The news site also asked her about the SVT’s choice for next year’s host city and Loreen said that the city does not matter as long all the fans will fly to follow the Eurovision Song Contest.

It will be Loreen’s second visit in Malta as her winning entry Euphoria is highly popular on the island. The event in which Loreen will perform is being organised by Stand Out Events Malta. Malta’s 2012 hopeful Kurt Calleja was waiting at the airport to greet her. Together with his band he will appear in the same show Loreen will perform in.

The Swedish star enjoyed international success following her victory in Baku. Euphoria topped many European charts and reached number three on the UK official singles chart.
