RTV SLO, the Slovenian national broadcaster, has published the complete list with the 14 finalists of EMA 2005. The 14 singers have been chosen from 103 submitted entries. Many of them have participated in last year's Slovenian national final and try their luck again this year, just like former Slovenian representatives Regina (1996) and Nu�a Derenda (2001).

A professional jury has selected 13 songs. The 14th participant is Omar Naber, the winner of the talent show Bitka Talentov, who received a wildcard for his victory. This is the list of all songs and singers who will perform in the final of EMA 2005 on 6th February 2005:

8. Nu�a Derenda – Noe, Noe (Noah, Noah)
9. Omar Naber – (No song selected yet)
10. Rebeka Dremelj – Pojdi z menoj (Come with me)
11. Regina – Proti vetru (Against the wind)
12. Sa�a Lendero – Metulj (Butterfly)
13. Sergeja – Nedotaknjena (Untouched)
14. Victory – Daleč od oči (Far from the eyes)

From the previous EMA editions, there are the former Miss Slovenia Rebeka Dremelj, Alya, Jadranka Juras and Anika Horvat. Also two former Slovenian Eurovision Song Contest representatives are trying it once again: Nu�a Derenda and Regina.

With the song Energy, Nu�a Derenda finished 7th at the 2001 Eurovision Song Contest in Copenhagen. In 1996 Regina only reached the 21st position with the song Dan najep�ih sanj.
