The Austrian entertainer Alf Poier will take part in the Austrian national final with the songs Good old Europe is dying and Hotel hotel. He revealed that in the television programme Austro pop-show. If both songs will be performed (partly) in English is unknown yet.
With Good old Europe is dying and Hotel hotel Poier will give it another try. In 2003 he represented Austria with the song Weil der Mensch zählt, reaching a sixth place.
The Austrian national final will take place on 25th February and will consist of five artists, performing two songs each. DJ Ötzi withdrew recently, but Alf Poier, Starmaniacs, Die Seer and Global.Kryner are said to be still in the race if we may believe news.at. The final participant's list for song.null.fünf will be published on 10th January.
This year's Austrian representative Tie-Break was not as lucky, they ended up 21st with 9 points, which means Austria has to perform in the qualifier round of the 2005 Eurovision Song Contest, which takes place 19th May in Kiev, Ukraine.
