Ireland: You're a star starts 21st November

Irish broadcaster RTÉ today announced the third series of You�re a star and called on ambitious Irish musical hopefuls to audition this autumn for their chance to carve out a career in the music industry and to represent Ireland at next years Eurovision Song Contest.

RT�s You�re a star will have a completely new jury with a refreshed combination of experience in the music industry. The new judges are Dave Fanning, Barbara Galavan and Hazel Kaneswaran. Neither Linda Martin, the 1992 Eurovision Song Contest winner with Why me?, nor Phil Coulter will return in the shows third season. Ray D'Arcy will again present the show.

Auditions for You're a star will take place during the next couple of weeks in several Irish towns. From 21st November on, You're a star will again take the headline slot on RTÉ, every Sunday night for 17 weeks. The winner(s) (bands are allowed to participate) of You�re a star will go on to represent Ireland in the Eurovision Song Contest in Kiev.

On 2nd September, RTÉ will organise a press launch for You're a star in Dublin.
