It has been confirmed that the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2004 will be held on 20 November in Lillehammer, Håkons Hall. 18 countries are to participate in the second edition of the contest which has been moved from the United Kingdom to Norway like we reported before.

The Norwegian public broadcaster NRK decided to host the upcoming contest in the town of Lillehammer, where also the Winter Olympic Games were held in 1994. The chosen hall – Håkons Hall – was built for the event and can seat up to 11 500 people.

Eighteen countries are said to participate in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest on 20 November 2004.
