This years German final is going to be the first in years without any entry of Ralph Siegel – or is it? After the well-known composer, a Eurovision veteran for sure, decided not to compete in the German preselection due to the new, sharper application rules, NDR determined to pay him a special tribute: the Ten Tenors are going to sing a medley of his biggest Eurovision hits, as NDR announced some minutes ago.

The Australian men's chorus performed as an interval act in a German national final before: 2002, when they sung a medley of Abba hits and, in the voting break, another striking medley of all participating songs. This Friday, they are to perform a Tribute to Ralph Siegel.

Other interval acts of the show include Lionel Richie, Mustafa Sandal and Berlin-based duo Rosenstolz, who came second in the German final of 1998.
