Germany 12 Points!, the national final taking place this Friday will consist of ten participants. Out of the two wild card aspirants Max (winner of Stefan Raab's casting show SSDSGPS) and Masha, only Max made it. His entry Can't wait until tonight tops this weeks singles charts, whereas Masha only entered at #83 and thus missed the crucial top 40 spot.

A position in this week's Top 40 was the precondition for both wild cards aspirants, whose respective singles were released last week, to be allowed to participate in the German preselection on 19 March. Backed by the media power of Stefan Raab's casting show SSDSGPS, this was no problem for Maximilian Mutzke or shortly Max: he entered the charts right at the top spot!

“Obviously there was not enough time for Masha and her producer Leslie Mandoki former member of Dschinghis Khan to make it into the charts. The more I admire their courage to meet the challenge of an open contest,” NDR's head of entertainment, Jürgen Meier-Beer, said. “I am confident that Masha will make her way even without her appearance at our show and I wish her luck!”
