Eurovision Asia heads to Bangkok

The world’s most iconic music competition is making its way to Asia, with Bangkok, Thailand, confirmed as the host city for the Eurovision Song Contest Asia 2026. The announcement has generated considerable excitement among fans across the region and beyond, promising a spectacular show under the banner of ‘United by Music’.

The Grand Final is scheduled for Saturday, 14 November 2026, where a total of eleven countries from across Asia will compete for the inaugural title. This new iteration of the contest aims to bring together diverse cultures and musical talents, mirroring the spirit of unity and celebration seen in its European counterpart.

The event will be held at the One Bangkok Forum in Bangkok, Thailand and will be hosted by  Woody Milintachinda and Cindy Bishop.

DARA confirmed as interval act

Adding to the excitement, it has been confirmed that the renowned artist DARA will be gracing the stage as an interval act during the Grand Final. Known for her captivating performances and significant presence in the Asian music scene, DARA’s inclusion is sure to be a highlight of the evening, entertaining audiences worldwide during the voting window.

DARA will perform an extra-special version of Bangaranga, the song that secured Bulgaria’s first Eurovision victory at the 70th Contest in Vienna earlier this year. Winning both the jury and public votes, her performance wowed viewers, introducing audiences worldwide to one of Bulgaria’s biggest popstars for over ten years now.

DARA combines energetic pop music with a commanding stage presence and has been in demand for festivals and appearances all over Europe since her victory in May. Her appearance in Bangkok will connect the Eurovision Song Contest’s landmark 70th edition with the opening chapter of Eurovision Song Contest Asia.
