Finland’s national selection for the Eurovision Song Contest, Uuden Musiikin Kilpailu (UMK), is gearing up for its 2027 edition. Yle, the Finnish national broadcaster, has announced that the application window for UMK27 will officially open in August, inviting new artists to submit their entries.

Thus Finland becomes the first country to confirm its participation at the Eurovision Song Contest 2027 in Bulgaria and has published the rules and regulations for UMK 2027.

The song submission window for UMK 2027 will be open from 17-23 August. The Finnish national final UMK 2027 is scheduled to be held on Saturday 20 February at the Nokia Arena in Tampere.
