Vienna’s iconic Rathausplatz is set to become the vibrant heart of the Eurovision Song Contest celebrations, transforming into the official Eurovision Village. From Sunday, May 10, until the early hours of Sunday, May 17, the square will be abuzz with excitement, welcoming fans from across the globe. This central hub promises to turn the city centre into an international festival zone for the duration of the 70th Eurovision Song Contest.

Eurovision Village takes over Rathausplatz for a spectacular week

The Austrian capital is gearing up for a spectacular week as the Eurovision Village officially opens its doors at the Rathausplatz. This central location will serve as the ultimate fan hub, offering a vibrant atmosphere for all Eurovision enthusiasts.

Running from Sunday, May 10, through to the early morning of Sunday, May 17, the Rathausplatz will be bathed in the colours of the Eurovision Song Contest, providing a unique international festival zone right in the city centre. Fans can expect a myriad of activities, live performances, and opportunities to celebrate their favourite competition.

The Eurovision Village will feature daily live performances from current and former Eurovision stars, alongside national and international acts, with a diverse supporting programme. Key highlights include large public viewing evenings for both Semi-Finals on May 12 and May 14, and the Grand Final on May 16.

The festivities officially kick off on Sunday, May 10, with the Opening Ceremony and the traditional Turquoise Carpet event, where all participating delegations will make their grand entrance. The Village will be open daily, offering free admission to all visitors.
