Exciting news for sustainability at the Eurovision Song Contest 2026 in Vienna! This year, attendees will be holding a piece of Upper Austria in their hands as they celebrate. The official drinking cups for the event are being produced in Kremsmünster, Austria.

Sustainability at the forefront for Eurovision 2026

As preparations for the Eurovision Song Contest 2026 in Vienna intensify, a significant detail regarding the event’s commitment to sustainability has emerged. The official reusable drinking cups, which will be used by thousands of fans and delegates throughout the competition, are being manufactured locally in Austria.

The production takes place in Kremsmünster, a market town in the Kirchdorf an der Krems district of Upper Austria. This local production not only supports Austrian businesses but also significantly reduces the carbon footprint associated with transportation.

What makes these cups particularly noteworthy is their composition: they are made entirely from recycled plastic sourced within Austria. This initiative highlights the host country’s dedication to environmental responsibility, ensuring that the celebrations in Vienna are as eco-friendly as possible. Fans attending the shows and events will be able to enjoy their beverages knowing they are using a sustainable product, contributing to a greener Eurovision experience.

Vienna is set to host the 70th edition of the Eurovision Song Contest, with the Grand Final scheduled for 16 May 2026 at the Wiener Stadthalle. The city previously hosted the contest in 1967 and 2015.
