Vanilla Ninja is heading to Eurovision Song Contest with a revamped version of their song “Too Epic To Be True”, now featuring a stronger rock edge and a brand-new music video.
As excitement builds on the road to Eurovision, the band has reworked the track to make it even more powerful for Europe’s biggest musical stage. This upgraded version will also be the one performed in the contest’s first semi-final on 12 May.
“We wanted to bring a stronger, more live-driven version of the song to Eurovision,” the band explains. “Our aim is to give it everything in Vienna, and the rockier sound really lets us take full advantage of the massive stage.”
The new arrangement is tailored specifically for Eurovision’s large-scale production, helping the song build momentum instantly in a live setting. Compared to their performance at Eesti Laul, the Eurovision show will feature a completely new stage concept.
The refreshed version of “Too Epic To Be True” will be released on streaming platforms this Friday at midnight (17 April), alongside its official music video, premiering at the same time.
The song was written by Sven Lõhmus, a well-known hitmaker. The new music video is directed by Sander Allikmäe, who is also part of the band’s Eurovision team.
On stage in Vienna, the group will be joined by drummer Borka, while Kaire Vilgats and Dagmar Oja will provide backing vocals.
Ahead of Eurovision, Vanilla Ninja will perform at the Eurovision pre-party in London this Sunday. They’ll also take the stage at the Veteran Rock concert on 23 April at Unibet Arena in Tallinn.
