Good evening Ljubljana! Live from RTVSLO Studio 1 in the Slovenian capital one of the many Eurovision shows just concluded. We have a winner! Klemen with the entry How much time do we have left just won EMA 2025 and will represent Slovenia at the Eurovision Song Contest 2025 in Basel, Switzerland.
About EMA 2025
The Slovenian national final, EMA 2025, took place tonight in Ljubljana with 12 entries hoping to top the scoreboard. Raiven ( Slovenia 2024) and Štras hosted the show.
The Participants
Tonight’s line-up consisted of 12 entries.

The Superfinal
Five different juries evaluated all entries and established a ranking. The first two songs qualified to the so-called Superfinal. They were:
- Klemen – How much time do we have left – 51 points
- July Jones – New religion – 50 points
Here the televote alone had the responsibility to select the winner. It is Klemen with the entry How much time do we have left! Klemen with represent Slovenia at Eurovision 2025 in Basel, Switzerland during the first half of the first semi-final on Tuesday 13 May.
Slovenia in Eurovision
Slovenia debuted at the Eurovision Song Contest in 1993 with 1X Band and is yet to win the competition. The country’s best result in the contest is a 7th placing, achieved in 1995 (Darja Svajger) and 2001 (Nusa Derenda).
Slovenia has competed 29 times in the contest since their debut in 1993, the country has partaken in the competition religiously every year with the exception of 1994 and 2000 when the nation was forced to stay out of the event due to the relegation rules of the contest back then.
In 2024 Raiven represented Slovenia at the Eurovision Song Contest in Malmo with her entry ‘Veronika’.
