TRM, the Moldovan national broadcaster, has published the rules and regulations for the forthcoming Moldovan national selection- Selectia Nationala 2025.

TRM has opened the song submission window for Selectia Nationala 2025 with the deadline set on 27 December 2024. Hereafter TRM will evaluate all the submitted entries from 28 December-15 January. 

The Selectia Nationala  live auditions will be held from 15 January-05 February. The special Selectia Nationala jury will select a total of 10 acts from the live auditions for the Moldovan national final- Finala Nationala 2025.

The Moldovan national final is scheduled to be held between 20-28 February. The 2025 Moldovan Eurovision entry and act will be determined via a 50/50 jury-televoting deliberation.

Moldova in Eurovision

Moldova debuted at the Eurovision Song Contest in 2005 with Zdob si Zdub and is yet to win the event. The country achieved its best result in the competition in 2017 when Sunstroke Project placed 3rd in the Grand Final in Kyiv with their entry Hey Mamma!

Moldova has been competing in religiously every year in Europe’s favourite television show since their debut in 2005, namely the country has partaken in the contest 19 times.

In 2024 Natalia Barbu represented Moldova at the Eurovision Song Contest in Malmo with her entry ‘In The Middle’.
