AVROTROS, the Dutch national broadcaster, has opted for an internal selection in order to determine the Dutch Eurovision act and entry for Eurovision 2025, a mechanism which has proven successful for the Dutch in recent years.
AVROTROS has confirmed the Dutch participation at the ESC 2025 in Basel and opened the song submission window for Eurovision 2o25, which will be running from today until 22 November 2024. Singers, composers, songwriters and producers are welcome to submit their entries to the Dutch national broadcaster via [email protected]
AVROTROS is aiming to select the Dutch ESC 2025 act and entry in December.

AVROTROS is opening registration for the Dutch entry for the 69th Eurovision Song Contest in Switzerland in May 2025. Artists, composers, songwriters, producers and record labels are cordially invited to submit an authentic, distinctive and competitive song for Europe’s biggest music show. Registration is open from now until Friday 22 November 23:59 via [email protected]
AVROTROS is once again opting for an internal procedure this year; a selection method that has yielded the Netherlands a final place nine times in the past eleven years. The coming months will reveal who will continue this successful series and will have the honour of representing the Netherlands. Preference is given to the combination of song plus artist(s), but we are keeping the option open to submit only a song, with a suitable artist being sought later.
Terms and Conditions for Songs
- Not released or publicly performed before September 1, 2024.
- Maximum duration is 3’00”.
- Multiple songs? Submit a maximum of 3 songs.
- Please submit song(s) in .mp3, .wav or other common format.
- Language choice is free.
Terms and Conditions for Artists
- Maximum 6 performers, including backing vocals and/or dancers.
- Affiliated with record company/label.
- Demonstrable recent stage experience.
- All vocals must be sung live.
- All music is on tape; no live instruments.
- Flexible availability from December 2024 to May 2025.
- Age is 16 years or older on May 10, 2025.
Further procedure
- Each submission will receive confirmation of correct receipt.
- In a number of sessions, the committee will select a small number of promising entries.
- The remaining entries will be used to discuss the further process.
- The aim is to make the final choice in December.
