RTP, the Portuguese national broadcaster, has won the Gold Award at the Meios & Publicidade Creativity Awards in the Integrated Project / Event category for hosting the 2018 Eurovision Song Contest in Lisbon.

RTP got the honour of hosting and organizing the 2018 Eurovision Song Contest in Lisbon last year thanks to Salvador Sobral‘s epic Eurovision victory in 2017.

RTP and the 2018 Eurovision Song Contest have been awarded the Gold Meios & Publicidade Award in the Integrated Project/Event category.

Lisbon and Portugal welcomed the Eurovision bandwagon for the very first time in Eurovision history in 2018.

The Portguese broadcaster has won several awards and has received much praise for hosting the competition.

The 2018 Eurovision Song Contest was held on 8, 10 and 12 May at the Altice Arena in Lisbon and was presented by Caterina Furtado, Silvia Alberto, Daniela Ruah and Filomena Cautela.

Portugal joined the Eurovision Song Contest in 1964 and has partaken 50 times in the competition.
