It has become a tradition that we love! As with every year, all members of the editorial team of ESCToday were invited to make their predictions and award their points to their most favourite contestants of each semi-final. With the first semi-final around the corner, we can now present you our 10 qualifiers!
Only a few hours are left to the first semi-final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2019, where 17 contestants will battle it out for a spot at Saturday’s Grand Final. But only 10 of them will be lucky tonight. The final outcome will emerge by both the juries’ and public vote, each having a 50% stake at it.
Each of our editors submitted their votes within the traditional Eurovision style (1 to 8, 10 and 12 points, and thus, the 10 entries with the highest overall scores are our 10 qualifiers, which can be seen below.
As with the semi-final show, the countries will be revealed in a random order, which has nothing to do with the actual ranking.
Our editors’ Top 10!
Our editors’ verdict gave the following qualifiers for tonight:
- Serbia
- Cyprus
- Slovenia
- Greece
- Australia
- Hungary
- Iceland
- Poland
- Czech Republic

Our 11th place went to Belgium, which finished with the same amount of points with the 10th qualifier. However, our 10th qualifier was voted by a higher number of editors. One position below, our 12th place went to San Marino. The remaining countries which didn’t manage to enter our Top 10 are (in alphabetical order): Belarus, Estonia, Finland, Georgia and Montenegro.
