The acclaimed French fashion designer, Jean Paul Gaultier, will reportedly dress the singer, Madonna, as well as Dana International for their upcoming performance at the 2019 Eurovision Song Contest.
Gaultier has a long history of working with Madonna, and is reported to arrive in Israel on 13th May, ahead of the Eurovision Song Contest that week.
Details of Madonna’s Eurovision performance are being kept firmly under wraps, although she is rumoured to be performing two songs and will reportedly receive $1 million for the event.
Jean-Paul Gaultier has also dressed previous Eurovision contestants, including Eurovision hostess Petra Mede, and contestants Madame Monsieur in 2018, Conchita Wurst in 2014, Anggun in 2012, Anna Vissi in 2006 and Dana International in 1998.
Joining forces with Dana again
Regarding the 1998 Eurovision winner and the French designer, once is never enough! Dana International will be dressed by the world-renowned fashion designer once again in order to welcome us all to the Eurovision Song Contest in Tel Aviv! The Eurovision “Diva”, who will open the Grand Final, posted a picture from their recent meeting at his studio in Paris, France.
Dana International still remembers their first meeting and her subsequent feelings and comments:
I still get chills of excitement when I remember my first meeting with him. “It was really the first time that I felt that something was happening also outside the borders of Israel, I felt a little international.
The Eurovision Song Contest will take place on the 14, 16 and 18 May 2019.
