YLE, the Finnish national broadcaster, has revealed the names of the Finnish commentators at the forthcoming 2019 Eurovision Song Contest in Tel Aviv.

Krista Siegfrieds (Finland 2013) and Mikko Silvennoinen will be the Finnish commentators at Eurovision 2019 guiding the Finnish audience throughout the three ESC 2019 shows in Tel Aviv.

Krista will be gracing the commentator’s booth for the very first time, whilst Mikko will be commentating the competition for the fourth time.

Krista says:

It feels great to be with Mikko. The fact that we are two brings a natural, vivid feeling to the commentary. We can throw the flap in a different way. Mikko makes me feel safe so I can bring more energy aboard!

Mikko says:

We are with Krista on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter. We tell the people all the time what is happening. We are converse and interact with the people and we will  bring this to the live tv broadcast too.

Eva Frantz and Johan Lindroos will be the Finnish commentators for YLE’s Swedish commentary whilst Sanna Pirkkalainen and Toni Laaksonen will be commentating the semifinals for YLE Radio Finland. Sanna Pirkkalainen and Sami Sykkö will be the commentators for the Grand Final on YLE Radio Finland.

Finland debuted at the Eurovision Song Contest in 1961 and has won the competition once, namely in 2006 when  Lordi brought the coveted trophy to home soil for the very first time with Hard Rock Hallelujah. The Nordic country has partaken in the competition 52 times.
