LiveGood evening, Europe! The 56th edition of the Eurovision Song Contest is taking place in Duesseldorf, Germany. The second semi final of Europe's favourite TV show is about to start.
We can now see this year's Eurovision vignette.
The three hosts are now on stage an they welcome the audience using the satellite stage. Anke Engelke, Stefan Raab and Rudith Rakers are the presenters of tonight's show.
The voting lines are now open. Let the show begin!

The hosts perform a rock version of last year's winning entry Satellite.

01 – Finland

The first country to perform tonight is Finland. Paradise Oskar represents the Northern European country in Duesseldorf with his self-penned song entitled Da da dam. The stage setting is quite simple, but effective as an impressive projection of the planet is used on the stage backdrop. The vocals are good enough to impress the audience.

02 – Bosnia and Herzegovina

Dino Merlin performs at the unlucky spot number 02. The stage turn from blue to red as Dino starts to perform his song entitled Love in rewind. A group of instrumentists and one dancer join the lead singer on stage. Dino delivers a very confident live vocal rendition of his entry and this is a strong contender for the top 10.

03 – Denmark

A concert atmosphere takes the stage now as A friend in London start to perform the Danish entry in this year's contest. A new tomorrow is the title of their song. The vocal performance is at a very good level and the audience seem to love this act. One of the singers runs on the catwalk to the satellite stage during the performance.

04 – Lithuania
Evelina from Lithuania performs her classy ballad entitled C'est ma vie using the American sign language. A piano player joins her on stage for her performance. The sign language together with the light show is very effective and should attract some votes from the juries. Evelina delivers the best vocal performance till now.

05 – Hungary
One of the huge favourites of this year's context is now on stage. Although Kati's vocals were perfect during the jury final, now she seems to have some problems on stage even though she is supported on stage by backing vocals.

06 – Ireland

Jedward's poppy act is next. The twins perform their song Lipstick being supported by four backing sinngers who try to make a miracle and save the average vocal performance. The stage setting is impressive and should get a lot of votes

07 – Sweden
The Swedish up-tempo song takes the stage now. Eric Saade performs a very special choreography using a glass box as a prop for their act. The glass brakes when the songs reaches its climax. The vocal performanc is average.

08 – Estonia
Getter Jaani from Estonia is regarded as one of the contenders for the big trophy. She delivers a very confident vocal rendition of her song. She also performs a fantasio magic trick with her wand in the beggining of her song.

09 – Greece

Stereo Mike and Loukas from Greece take the stage now and perform their folkloric-rap song entitled Watch my dance. The stage backdop is blue and fits the song well. Could this act surprise us and enter the top 10 with this strange combinational of traditional music and rap.

10 – Russia
Alexey Vorobjov is now on stage looking very confident. He performs his song Get you togethe with a crew of professional dancers. Some backing singers seem to be hidden behind the additional LED walls on the stage. This is a strong contender for top 5. Watch this one.

11 – France

The biggest favourite is now on stage. World's youngest tenor Amaury performs his opera song Sognu. Even though some people and the betting odds say that France will win we highly doubt that after the live performance

13 – Switzerland

Switzerland takes the stage hoping for making a Eurovision final after a big absence. Anna Rosinelli is representing the central European country with a mid tempo pop song entitled In love for a while. The lead singer is joined on stage by two instrument players. The vocal performance is at a very good level and the Swiss people should be happy about this performance

14 – United Kingdom

Although this is the biggest favourite of tonight's show, the boys from Blue deliver a quite shaky vocal performance of their song entitled "I can". We highly doubt that this could win it all.

15 – Moldova

Zdob si Zdub from Moldova are back on the Eurovision stage but without their grand mother this time. This is a very energetic number that should stand out from the rest of the participants. Although there is no grandma on stage, a beautiful fairy on a unicycle appears during the performance.

16 – Germany

Last year's winner Lena proves her musical skills on stage. This is one of the best performances of tonight's show. She is being joines on stage by a group of dancers dressed in latex clothes.

17 – Romania

Romania is next on stage and this is one of the few countries that have always qualified for the grand final. Hotel FM, a rather unknown band in their country are waving the Romanian flag in Duesseldorf. The vocals are simply great as David is one of the best singers in this year's competition. Two dancers join Hotel FM on stage performing a special choreography.

18 – Austria

Nadine performs her ballad entitled The Secret in Love together with four female backing vocalists. Nadine delivers a very good live performance of her song just like she did in the Austrian national final. Her outfit is black and has attached several swarowski cristals.

19 – Azerbaijan

Azerbaijan is next on stage. Eldar and Nigar perform their pop song entitled Running scared. The duo seem very confident and they sound as they could actually win the big trophy. Baku 2012?

20 – Slovenia

The stage turns from red to lila as Slovenia's representative Maja Keuc started performing her rock ballad entitled No one. Four backing vocalists take the stage aswell and deliver together with Maja a very confident live vocal rendition of their song.

21 – Iceland

Iceland is represented by the friends of Sigurjon Brink who passed away in January this year. Some people regard this entry as the darkest horse in the history of the Eurovision Song Contest. Will the sad story behind this song increase their chances for the big prize? If so, some people will be rich.

22 – Spain

Lucia from Spain performs the happies number of tonight's show. A carnival atmosphere is created on stage. The vocal performance is at a good level.

23 – Ukraine

Ukraine is being represented by Mika Newton. She performs a mid-tempo pop song entitled Angel. The 2009 winner of Ukraine got talents, Ksenyia Siminova, joins Mika on stage and she delivers a very artistic number of sand painting.

24 – Serbia

A former Yugoslavian country is next on stage. Serbia is being represented by the young singer Nina who performs a retro soul song written by Kristina Kovac. The stage backdrop is very colorful for this act and fit well the 60's retro feel of the song. Nina is joined on stage by three female backing singers all dressed very colorful

25 – Georgia

Georgia is next on stage. This year, a pop-rock band will represent the Caucasian country at the Eurovision Song Contest. Eldrin brought an epic religious backdrop on the LED screens of the stage in Duesseldorf. Their song is a pop-rock melody featuring some dark tunes.

A recap of all the videos is being aired now. Soon the countdown for the lines to close will begin.
