Eldar and Nigar will represent Azerbaijan at the forthcoming Eurovision Song Contest in Dusseldorf with the song Running Scared. The official videoclip of their entry has been released. Azerbaijan debuted at the Eurovision Song Contest in 2008 and is yet win the contest. Azerbaijan's best placing was achieved by Aysel and Arash in 2009 with Always.

Eldar and Nigar will fly the flag for Azerbaijan in Dusseldorf. The official videoclip of their entry Running Scared has been released.The video shoot was directed by Tarmo Krimm, the producer of the 2002 Eurovision Song Contest in Tallinn. As a fan of the competition first and foremost, he wanted the chance to direct the music video to an entry and Eldar & Nigar were delighted with the collaboration. The Running Scared video is one of Tarmo’s first forays into the world of music video direction.

Azerbaijan will perform in the first semi-final of the 2011 Eurovision Song Contest in Germany on Tuesday 10th May. Will Eldar and Nigar bring the Eurovision Song Contest to the land of fire, Azerbaijan in 2012? We will know next May!
