The 2014 Spanish Eurovision Spanish representative, Ruth Lorenzo, joined the Operacion Triunfo 2018 jury panel last night, during the talent show’s Gala #8.  Last night’s gala was followed by a special chat dedicated to the Eurovision Song Contest where both the OT 2018 participants and teachers performed various Eurovision songs including Heroes (Sweden 2015), Fuego (Cyprus 2018), I love you mi vida (Spain 2007), Eres tu (Spain 1973), Bailar pegados (Spain 1991) etc.

During her visit to the academy she let the cat out of the bag and revealed that she has submitted songs for the 2019 Spanish national final. She didn’t reveal for which of the sixteen participants she had composed the song/s.
