BTRC, the Belarusian national broadcaster, has confirmed that Belarus will participate at the forthcoming 2019 Eurovision Song Contest in Israel.

Good evening Europe, this is Minsk calling! Belarus is heading to Israel for Eurovision 2019.  Thus Belarus joins the list of countries who have confirmed their intention to partake at the 2019 Eurovision Song Contest in Tel Aviv.

BTRC, will be more than likely have a national selection in order to select its 2019 Eurovision entry and act. The Belarusian national broadcaster will be releasing more details on its plan of action for Eurovision 2019.

Belarus in Eurovision

Belarus debuted at the Eurovision Song Contest in 2004 and is yet to win the competition. The country’s best result in the event was achieved in 2007 when Koldun placed 6th in Helsinki.

Belarus has competed 15 times in the contest and has not missed the competition since its debut. The Belarusians have only made it five times to the Grand Final in their 15 year Eurovision history.

In 2018 Alekseev was crowned the winner of the Belarusian national final and won the golden ticket to Lisbon with his entry Forever. The Ukrainian born artist failed to qualify to the Grand Final.
