French musical duo Madame Monsieur have released the official music video for their latest song Comme une reine.

Émilie Satt and Jean-Karl Lucas of Madame Monsieur have presented the empowering music video for their single Comme une reine (“Like a queen”), taken from their album Vu D’ici (“Seen from here”). As the title suggests, Comme une reine addresses personal empowerment and the acceptance of diversity, with lyrics such as:

There is nothing of your body or your shape to hide
You’ve nothing to lose and everything to gain
Babe, it’s time to reconcile
Your difference and your beauty

You’re going to lead the dance
At last you’re going to tell yourself ‘I love you’
You have one existence
You only have one chance
Carry yourself like a queen

Like, like a queen

The lyrics for Comme une reine were inspired by artist Juliette Katz a.k.a. Coucou les girls:

Madame Monsieur is very proud of their new song and its video which again tackles current social issues, in line with their Eurovision 2018 entry Mercy:

The music video for Comme une reine echoes the powerful lyrics, showing a young girl who might not fit the general stereotype of a professional dancer, but who owns her skill and uniqueness, overcoming self-doubt and judgement.

The video features dancer, actress and model Amanda LaCount and was directed by Alain Guillerme and Lucas Sensi of artistic collective La Sucrerie in collaboration with LOW WOOD.
