The dates for the 2018 New Wave Song Contest have been confirmed. The annual Russian music fiesta is set to be held on the shores of the Black Sea resort city of Sochi with a grand line up of former Eurovision stars to grace the event.
The 2018 New Wave International Contest of Young Pop Singers is scheduled to be held from 4-9 September at the New Wave Concert Hall at Sochi’s Olympic Park. The six day event will be aired on Russian channels RTR 1 and RTR Planeta.

A grand star studded line up of former Eurovision stars from Russia and overseas is set to attend the competition in Sochi. Many celebrated and big names in the Russian music industry and show business are also expected to grace the occasion.

New Wave 2018 Participants
This year will see the 2017 Greek Eurovision representative Demy partake in the 2018 New Wave Song Contest representing her homeland Greece. A total of 16 cts will compete in the contest this year.
The jury
This year’s jury will feature many former Eurovision acts and the internationally acclaimed Greek composer/produder Dimitris Kontopoulos for the second consecutive year.

About New Wave Festival
The New Wave Song Contest was founded in 2002 by Igor Krutoy and Raimonds Pauls, with the first fourteen editions being held in the Latvian coastal city of Jurmala.
