A year has passed since Kyiv and Ukraine successfully hosted the 2017 Eurovision Song Contest; the theme art and design of the 2017 Eurovision logo have won the Bronze Lion in Cannes.
Ukraine hosted the 2017 Eurovision Song Contest in its majestic capital Kyiv, with the traditional Namysto bead necklace as the inspiration behind the theme art and logo design.
The 2017 Eurovision theme art and design were created by Banda.agency and Republique. This week saw the two companies receiving the Bronze Lion for their Eurovision 2017 design at the Cannes Lions Festival of Creativity.
The week global long event is held annually at the Palais de Festivals et des Congres in the iconic French city of Cannes, gathering professionals from the creative communications and advertising industry. The festival celebrates the best of creativity in brand communication and includes award ceremonies, and includes an opening and closing ceremony.
Mr. Pavel Vrzheshch (co-founder of Banda) says:
With the traditional Ukrainian symbol, we also gave it a modern look with bright live patterns. Each part of the necklace has its own unique design and shape, which symbolizes a simple truth: we are all different, but we come together every year for a wonderful occasion!
The 2017 Eurovision Song Contest was broadcast in 42 countries and watched by circa 180 million spectators across the globe.
