Perhaps Eurovision didn’t go as expected for Julia Samoylova, but she’s not giving up! Stronger than ever, she’s now preparing a mini-album that is expected to come next month.
According to a recent interview that Julia Samoylova did on Thursday, the artist confirmed that she is working very hard to finish a mini-album which will contain 5 songs, and – if everything goes by plan – it will be out by early June.
She also added that it is her first time doing something of this type and also the first time she’s going off-course, creating this style of music.
More specifically, Julia said about the album:
This will be my first mini-album, it will include five song songs. I hope that everything will go according to plan and we will release it in early June.
The reason why Julia is so excited about this album is:
It will be quite an experimental step. I do not count on radio stations, so the work is, rather, closer to the underground. Everything will not be in the style in which I’m used to seeing.
Eurovision background
Julia represented Russia in the 2018 Eurovision Song Contest with the song I won’t break. She was also selected to compete in the 2017 Eurovision Song Contest as a representative of Russia with the song A flame is burning, however due to some problems with the Ukrainian authorities, the country decided to withdraw ahead of the competition.
