Spain: David Civera special guest at Spanish heat

RTVE has informed esctoday.com that David Civera, the 2001 Spanish Eurovision representative, will be a guest at tomorrow's Spanish Eurovision 2011 national selection heat 2. Merche and Malú will also be performing tomorrow. The 2nd Spanish Eurovision heat will take place in Sant Cugat, Barcelona and will be aired live on TVE1 and TVE International Europe at 22:15 CET.

Last week we had Soraya, the 2009 SpanishEurovision representative, giving a guest performance at Destino Eurovisión Gala 1. David Civera, who represented Spain with the song Dile que la quiero, achieving a 6th placing in Copenhagen, will be one of the guests in tomorrow's heat.

It is exactly 10 years back that David Civera won the 2001 Spanish Eurovision national final Eurocanción 2001 thus winning the golden ticket to Copenhagen. David shot to fame in Spain thanks to his Eurovision debut, whilst his song became a massive hit in Spain. Since then his career has gone places. David has released many hit albums and his songs have charted high, getting extensive airplay on Spanish radio stations.

Merche and Malú are both well known Spanish artists both enjoying name, fame and glory in home soil. Merche is one of the members of the jury at the Destino Eurovisión 2011 selection and also tried to represent the country back in 2001 under the stage name Luna with the song No pidas más amor.
