Destino Eurovisión, the Spanish Eurovision 2011 national selection will see its second show taking place today. Twelve more hopefuls will battle to become one of the five lucky acts to qualify for the semifinal of the 2011 Spanish Eurovision national selection process.
The show
Thesecond Spanish Eurovisionselection galaDestino Eurovisión 2011 will be held tonight at Sant Cugat Studios, in Sant Cugat, Barcelona. Anne Irgatiburu and last year's Spanish Eurovision representative Daniel Diges will be hosting tonight's show. TVE, the Spanish national broadcaster, has prepared an evening full of excitement and surprises for all its viewers.A total of 12 acts will compete in order to qualify for the semifinal. All the candidates will sing a former Spanish/European Eurovision entry. A special jury (Albert Hammond, Boris Izaguirre, Merche andReyes delAmor)will shortlist the number of candidates from 12 to 8 after their performances. Then the public will vote for their favorite from the remaing 8 candidates. The top 3 from the televote will qualify for the next phase the Semifinal phase. The jury will then select another 2 candidates to qualify for the final, thus a total of 5 candidates will pass to the next phase.
