It’s day three of rehearsals in the Eurovision 2018 host city of Lisbon today, in which it’s the start of the semi-final 2 participants’ appearances onstage for the very for time. We are now ready to set the first rehearsal of the Netherlands on the Eurovision stage today.

Day three at the Altice Arena in Lisbon and we’re continuing with the first set of rehearsals for the 2018 Eurovision Song Contest. Semi-final 1 is down, so today we move on to the second semi-final participants, joining the first 9 participants of the show for their first rehearsals.

Getting ready for the penultimate rehearsal of the day is Waylon from the Netherlands, who will be competing in the second semi-final of Eurovision 2018 next Thursday with his song Outlaw in ’em.

Waylon enters the stage sporting a long length leopard print jacket and his usual style of hat. It is indeed a colourful outfit choice for the Dutch performer, somewhat unexpected, with more surprises to follow throughout the performance.

It seems that many fans expected Waylon to perform on his own onstage, however that certain isn’t the case, in fact it’s very much the opposite.

Waylon performed on a circular podium which is filled with backing dancers, which is a bit of an unusual mix and match. Performing as drummers and guitarists, the routine shortly after turns into a break dance with some gymnastic style moves appearing towards the end.

It’s a surprising choice considering the music genre, but it is indeed a very busy performance that fits with the message of the song itself. We’ll have to see whether it draws in the votes from both the public and jury.
