The choice of the French representative in the 2011 Eurovision Song Contest will be made internally once again. France Télévisions were studying the possibility of holding a televised selection after some changes in the board of the broadcaster. Nevertheless, plans for a national final in 2012 remain untouched.

Due to the new appointments in the board of France Télévisions and its Enternainment service, preparations for a televised national selection wouldn't have been completed within the deadline set by the European Broadcasting Union for the national finals – the evening of the Heads of Delegation meeting on March 13th, eurovision-fr.net reports.

The French public broadcasting corporation is still interested in carrying out an open and televised Eurovision selection for 2012.
