There was an unpleasant surprise expecting for him in his very first rehearsal in Portugal. It has now been reported that the Czech entrant, Mikolas Josef hurt his back during his act on the stage of Altice Arena.

The Czechs are preparing quite an energetic show onstage with many acrobatics. That was actually the occassion for Mikolas’ small accident. Shortly after his fall, he was seen by a doctor, who suggested the artist to be transferred to the hospital for precautionary reasons.

Immediately after his bringing to the hospital, where he got by an ambulance, Mikolas Josef had the following words to say:

The first thing that came to my mind was that Eurovision ended for me and that I will terribly disappoint the fans who have sent me here. I will fight with all my strength, even if I only stand on the stage. I will do everything to keep going. Keep your thumbs up!
